Olympians and world-class professional athletes are at the top of their games after years of training and preparation. Still, they ALL have coaches to hone their performance to a sharp edge and help them continue in the arena.

In business, like in sports, a coach is someone who can help you find and avoid blind spots, prepare for the next challenge or maybe just get through a slump. In an ongoing relationship, a coach can also be your partner in continuous improvement and growth.

And no body, least of all a top executive, can afford to stop growing. When you stop growing, you start to decay - physically, mentally and emotionally.

In business leadership, there are three areas of focus every executive should never ease up on - Character, Competence and Clarity. Even CEOs with years of experience can, and do, benefit from working with an executive coach.

I help executives sharpen key traits that contribute directly to a leader's character -traits like integrity, authenticity, drive, courage, trustworthiness, openness, empathy, humility, transparency, creativity and curiosity. My thirty-plus years in executive leadership have taught me that successful top-level leaders wield these traits inspirationally and in their own unique style.

A senior leader can achieve nothing, either personally or professionally, without clarity of purpose. I coach clients in the development of individual goals based on their personal vision, and corporate goals based on their organizational vision. These vision-based goals develop clarity in a powerful and enduring way to establish an executive's personal and professional purpose. With these goals established, we move resolutely from goal “setting” (planning) through goal “getting” (attainment).

I focus each client on value-based intentional growth for improvement in key character traits, along with simultaneous development of competence in their roles as leaders, in support of those vision-based goals. Leadership can be tough, and the job is a lot more rewarding (and fun) if you're performing at the top of your game.

I seek to align coaching efforts with real-world situations in real-time because coaching is supposed to about improvement, not adding more tasks to the to-do list. My role as coach is to be an effective catalyst for personal and professional excellence, achievement and happiness.

Committed to the highest standard of conduct and ethics, I adhere to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics.
